Belk College honors outstanding professors, staff

Four professorsfrom the Belk College of Business recently were honored by their faculty colleaguesfor their contributions to their profession and the College, and the College named its outstanding staff member of the year.

Sunil Erevelles, associate professor ofmarketing, received the Gray's M.B.A. Faculty Teaching Award.Jennifer Troyer, associate professor of economics, received the Outstanding Service Award.Cem Saydam,professor of operations management, received the Excellence in Teaching Award.Tom Stevenson, Cullen professor of management, received the Distinguished Scholarship Award.

The Gray's M.B.A. award is presented each year to an outstanding professor who has taught in the M.B.A. program for at least three years.

The Outstanding Service Award recognizes contributions to the College, University and community through activities beyond the traditional duties of a faculty member.

The Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes a faculty member who has made an exceptional or sustained contribution to the teaching and learning environment in the Belk College of Business.

The Distinguished Scholarship Award recognizes the accomplishments of faculty in research and scholarly activity.

Additionally, Debbie Joyner, budget analyst in the Dean's Office, was named Outstanding Staff Member for 2005-06.
