Sumit Jain is a Treasury Portfolio Manager in Wells Fargo’s industry leading Commercial Mortgage Servicing division. Sumit's primary responsibilities involve the analysis, modeling and valuation of CRE loans tied to new issue and actively traded mortgage backed securities and advising the bank with respect to its investments in mortgage servicing rights.
Previously, Sumit served as Managing Director at Waterstone Asset Management, LLC and as Vice President at Ciena Capital, LLC where he managed and resolved several portfolios of distressed loans secured by a variety of real estate classes.
Prior to that, Sumit practiced as a real estate and transactional attorney and represented commercial and residential developers in coastal NC. He is an active member of the NC and NY state bars.
Sumit graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a minor in Social and Economic Justice and also holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Sumit is a scholarship recipient from the Institute of Real Estate Management and a Childress Klein Fellow. He is pursuing a MSRE degree in furtherance of his long term goal of starting a real estate development and investment firm.
