The Diversity & Inclusion Committee is an iniative launched by the Alumni for the Center for Real Estate (ACRE) board in early 2021. This sub-committee strives to implement a vision for diversity in real estate through outreach, communication and events.

NC Women’s Affordable Housing Network Lunch & Learn, December 2021
On December 9, 2021, director of the MSRE program, Daniel Wright, and D&I co-chair, Liz Ward, participated in a lunch & learn on higher education opportunities in Real Estate in North Carolina. In addition to UNCC, this virtual event also featured representatives from UNC-Chapel Hill Department of City & Regional Planning and UNC-Greensboro Center for Housing Policy. #CREFUTURE, March 2021
On March 19, 2021, the Childress Klein Center for Real Estate along with the ACRE board hosted the Spring 2021 #CREfuture. This virtual event featured a panel discussion on the future of Diversity and Inclusion in Commercial Real Estate. Young professionals in the field discussed their experiences and ways to improve in this timely discussion.
