What is your professional background?

After graduating from Western Carolina University in the Fall of 2018, I joined the Crosland Southeast team, bringing with me a multifaceted educational background in Entrepreneurship, Marketing, and Finance. Before Crosland, I tallied up experience in other corporate sectors working in both Accounting and Logistics. Based in Charlotte, I’m currently working as a development associate, focusing on single-tenant BTS projects throughout the Carolinas.

What motivated you to pursue this program?

Coming into the field with little to no Real Estate background or experience, I heard of the highly acclaimed MSRE program at UNCC, and saw it as a way to cram decades of knowledge, information, and wisdom into a few short semesters. While every real estate project is unique, as land itself is unique, the basic fundamentals of Real Estate remain constant. Through talking with colleagues and industry professionals, I identified this program as a gateway to a successful career in commercial real estate, and as a means to reduce the “learning curve” timeline.

How would you describe the M.S. in Real Estate to someone who is considering pursuing this master’s degree?

Worth it – Especially if you don’t have a background in real estate.
