Advising
M.S. in Real Estate students register for courses using the My UNC Charlotte portal. Before students can register they need to be cleared by the program director. Please contact the Assistant Director of Graduate Student Services, Kalli Vimr, when preparing for registration.
Course Planning
Core courses are offered during specific semesters. Elective options are available each semester as Fall-only and Spring-only offerings. Please note that course offerings and schedules are subject to change.
DegreeWorks is an online tool that the University uses to determine if students have met the requirements for graduation – it is your official degree audit. It should be used to view program requirements and track degree progress. To access DegreeWorks, log in to MyCharlotte and select the “gear” icon on the right-hand side of your Quick Links.

Graduation & COMMENCEMENT
Graduation
Degree candidates must apply for graduation for degree awarding and are eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony for the term in which they anticipate completing all requirements.
All students intending to graduate must apply for graduation regardless of whether they intend to participate in the commencement ceremony. Students who do not apply for graduation will not have their degree(s) or certificate(s) awarded and will not receive their diploma. Students must apply by the Graduation Application deadlines listed on Niner Central. You can also check the Belk College Canvas page for additional information on graduating.
Commencement
The Graduate School confers degrees after each term (Spring, Summer and Fall). Commencement, the celebration that honors earning your degree, is held twice annually in May and December. Summer and Fall graduates participate in the December ceremonies.
